Smart Agent FWA Application

Smart Agent FWA is a technical tool used for the installation and configuration on field of 4G/5G FWA solutions. The tool is designed for off-the-shelf android devices and it provides both interactive cell maps and speedtest to evaluate how well FWA antenna CPE is oriented and installed.

A dedicated module allows cells map identification of the 4G, 5G and adjacent cells, so as to identify the cell to which it is necessary to orient and connect the CPE. All queries to a 4G/5G FWA cells are encrypted and logged identifying the technician who requested it.

By mutual agreement between SMARTS and the User, Smart Agent FWA is only used for network test, as shown below, and it can be activated/disabled by SMARTS or by the User at any time without notice and/or any explanation.

No sensitive private information will be collected by Smart Agent FWA.

Data Collection & Processing

SMARTS will collect through the Smart Agent FWA APP technical data from your phone. This Privacy Policy explains the reasons for data collection and processing by SMARTS. We invite you to carefully read this disclosure.

If you agree to the collection and processing of data by SMARTS as indicated in this disclosure, click on the 'ACCEPT' button confirming your choice. If you do not agree, please click the 'DECLINE' button. In case of dissent, no data referred to in this disclosure will be sent from the phone via Smart Agent FWA APP.

Why do you gather this data?

Smart Agent FWA APP has been designed to help end-users to install and configure on field of 4G/5G FWA and to interact with their telecommunications network Operator. It collects technical information that can support the installation and optimal orientation of CPE antennas contributing to improved network quality of service.

The app requires user consent to access the operator’s cell information and to monitor the quality of service of the telecommunication network.

What data is collected?

SMARTS collects the following technical data:

Network information: Signal Level, Cell Identification, MCC/MNC, LAC, radio access technology (Wi-Fi, 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G), and transitions between technologies.
Service Quality: Negative events of PDP type (dropped calls, failed calls, out of service), download and upload throughput information.
Device parameters: Android OS version, manufacturer, and model.
Location: Position information to locate network events (geolocated only when GPS is active).

SMARTS does not collect sensitive information, such as visited URLs, phone numbers, or keystrokes.

How is data collected and stored?

Technical parameters are recorded locally and sent through secure HTTPS connections to SMARTS servers. Data is collected only when the device is in use (active and unlocked screen). Once stored safely on the server, the local copy is deleted.

SMARTS will not transmit the data to third parties.

Data Controller

Data will be processed by SMARTS S.R.L., with registered office in Via Figurella Catona 2A, Reggio Calabria, Italy, according to D. Lgs. 196/2003 and GDPR 679/2016. If the application is closed or deleted, all data will be erased.
